Radical Music Week is returning to Penryn with a programme of wild, experimental, funny, catchy, head-scratchy and gorgeous music / sound / noise / performance!

Graham Dunning / Jaxson PayneJune 29, 2019 at 7 PM – 12 AM
The first night of Radical Music Week 2019 kicks off with Graham Dunning, bringing his 'mechanical techno' set to The Fish Factory Arts Space. Also on the bill we have electronic drummer, Jaxson Payne (dtub) with support from Oh Mr James and Angel Baby.
Sound Building WorkshopJune 30, 2019 at 1 PM – 5 PM
Radical Music Week 2019 day two will involve an afternoon workshop for anybody interested in playing with sound. There will be a variety of short workshops from Dom Allen, Sarah Gatter, Amy Lawrence and Co:noise. This is open to anyone and no technical ability is required whatsoever!
There will be tape looping, anti-guitar lessons and an opportunity to play with custom built instruments and build your own.

We have the Plymouth contingency of Radical dudes appearing at the Fish Factory Arts Space! Blessed Pangolin and Dude The Obscure plus local Apathy Jazz Fusionist Petra Dish + The Nicotine Tingles.
Join us for a wonderfully energetic and beautiful evening of visuals, tiny drumkits and bouncy trumpet playing.

Sam Sweeney, singer-songwriter and incredible guitarist will be singing for us with support from Penryn choir HUM. A gentle, fun and gorgeous midweek gig not to be missed!
Music Film Night - Wild CombinationJuly 4, 2019 at 8 PM – 11 PM
As part of Radical Music Week 2019 we are delighted to be showing Matt Wolf's documentary film 'Wild Combination - A Portrait of Arthur Russell'
This film gives an insight into the life of the prolific and genius artist that is Arthur Russel; Cellist, avant-garde composer and disco producer before his tragic death in 1992. We will also be showing local artist film maker Victoria Lune's latest short 'Freefold'
Paddy SteerJuly 5, 2019 at 7:30 PM – 11:30 PM
The Archmage himself, Paddy Steer, cosmic one-man-band will be playing for us with support from Fish Factory artist and avant-gardener, The Worm, plus the mysterious Fortress Hill.
GINS and Inka UpendoJuly 6, 2019 at 8 PM – 11:30 PM
GINS with support from Inka Upendo, two amazing electronic pop artists that will make you want to wiggle. A very rad and cool evening indeed!
Improvisation WorkshopJuly 7, 2019 at 1 PM – 5 PM
This is a FREE event and is the last of our programme for this year's Radical Music Week 2019!
Open for musicians, singers, dancers and anyone interested in making sound or movement. We also welcome participants from workshops earlier in the week to bring what they have learned to this final workshop. No musical ability is required, only an open mind.
Bring your own instruments if possible, all welcome!
