July 29th- August 12th
Hans Lo is going to spend his residency making an album as an expansion on a project started in 2018 called ‘ Powder Makers’; whereby an audio and visual ‘scape’ was created by using field recordings, analogue synthesizers, spoken words and still imagery. The intention is to to generate and re-interpret folk tales associated with disused factories and abandoned sites around Falmouth and Penryn. The aim is to present the album as a live score at the end of the residency, where a piece of experimental narrative film will be projected and form a visual structure for the performance. Printed and sculptural artefacts will be accompanying the performance to show the process and research taken to reach the completion of the album.
